Bitget BGB Token Soars 243% to New ATH of $5.89, Becoming 23rd-Largest Crypto
Bitget’s native token, BGB, has experienced a significant surge, catapulting it to the 23rd spot in the global crypto ranking. Over the past month, the token has seen an explosive rally of 243%.
BGB has delivered an incredible performance in the final days of 2024, with a surge of over 200% in the past 30 days. Previously priced around $1.6, the token has now surpassed the $5 mark at the time of writing.
Colin Wu, a prominent Chinese reporter, highlighted BGB’s remarkable performance in a tweet. He mentioned that the token has risen to the 25th spot in the global crypto ranking, with a market capitalization of $7.55 billion and a token value of $5.43.
Interestingly, BGB’s upward trajectory continued, reaching a new all-time high of $5.89, resulting in a staggering market capitalization of $8.24 billion.
However, the token has experienced a slight dip, currently priced at $5.76 per token, with a market capitalization of $8.06 billion.
Despite the dip, BGB has still gained 15.93% in the past 24 hours, 27.48% in the past week, and an impressive 243% over the past month. According to CoinMarketCap data, BGB is currently ranked as the 23rd largest token in the global crypto ranking.
Furthermore, BGB boasts a trading volume of $470.04 million, reflecting a surge of 67.82% in the past day.
Bitget has also announced a giveaway for BGB holders, offering $2,000 worth of HYPE tokens to its community members. To be eligible, users must hold 100 BGB tokens from December 19, 10:00 (UTC) to December 25, 2024, 10:00 (UTC). Other requirements include joining the BGB community, completing a HYPE/USDT deposit, and conducting any amount of token trading during the campaign period.
According to data from IntoTheBlock, all BGB holders are currently seeing profits following the recent price surge. The majority of BGB holders are long-term investors who have held the token for over a month. The data shows that 37% of BGB holders have held the token for over a year, 61% for 1 to 12 months, and the remaining 2% are short-term traders who have held it for less than 30 days.
