The XRP community recently experienced another glitch on the popular cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com, but this time it was related to a rendering issue rather than a price error.
This glitch was discovered during a period of market turmoil, as the crypto market has been struggling in a bearish consolidation phase. XRP, in particular, has been caught in the crossfire between the bears and the bulls, losing its grip on the key $0.50 price level during the recent market downturn.
Currently trading at around $0.47, XRP would need a significant market uptrend to reclaim $0.50 as a support level. Despite the challenging market conditions, some XRP enthusiasts find hope in optimistic price predictions, with some even suggesting values as high as $27 and $66.
Many analysts believe that XRP is undervalued after years of price suppression. Some community members point to recurring glitches in XRP’s price as evidence that its current value does not reflect its true worth.
The latest glitch on Crypto.com, however, was a departure from the norm. Edoardo Farina, a prominent figure in the XRP community, highlighted a glitch on the exchange that affected XRP’s ticker symbol display, showing “<|:style1>XRP” instead of the usual symbol.
This rendering issue was likely caused by a coding error in the HTML, CSS, or JavaScript used to display the ticker symbol on the website. Despite the minor nature of the glitch, it garnered attention from the XRP community, raising questions about why these issues seem to disproportionately affect XRP.
While previous glitches often involved drastic price changes, this particular incident did not impact trading activity or market data. The Crypto.com team has since resolved the issue.
These occasional glitches are not unique to XRP, as other instances in the past have seen the cryptocurrency’s price spike to unrealistic levels on various exchanges due to technical issues. It’s important for investors to conduct thorough research and exercise caution when making financial decisions in the volatile cryptocurrency market.
