Ongoing rumors circulating within the Cardano community suggest that Gemini, a cryptocurrency exchange based in the United States, may have plans to add ADA to its list of supported cryptocurrencies. These speculations began after Gemini referred to Cardano as an “open-source protocol that focuses on democratizing the process of consensus and governance.” In addition, Gemini published an article about Cardano on its educational platform, Cryptopedia, written by Frederik Gregaard, the CEO of the Cardano Foundation. The article further fueled speculation that Gemini could potentially list ADA. Gregaard himself revealed in a video shared by a Cardano staking pool operator, St₳kΣ with Pride, that he was working with top crypto exchanges to explore the possibility of listing ADA. This news has generated excitement within the Cardano community, with members such as St₳kΣ with Pride asserting that Gemini will indeed list ADA and potentially support other digital assets on the Cardano blockchain, known as CNTs (Cardano Native Tokens). However, despite these rumors, Gemini has not provided any updates regarding its plans to list ADA in the near future. Gemini, founded in 2014, is currently one of the leading centralized crypto exchanges globally, ranking 16th in terms of trading volume on CoinMarketCap. The exchange supports various cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin, Shiba Inu, Ether, Dogecoin, Filecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. Despite its established presence in the crypto market, Gemini has yet to list ADA, causing frustration among the Cardano community. The recent publication by Gemini about Cardano has renewed optimism among community members, leading to speculation that ADA may soon be added to the exchange.
